E-Plus will debut at CES in January

Since Nissan decided to remove the extended range version from the LA Auto Show following Ghosn's arrest, it looks like we will be getting get a first look at it next month. Its expect to now hit the European market in the Spring, follow but a NA debut in the summer. Whether or not will be able to compete with new models like the Kona EV already on the market, we will have to see.

Great to see it will be happening, the kWh difference here is much needed but by time it comes to market, Nissan will be already behind.

Nissan is lucky that they have already gained a lot of traction with the regular model and they an established consumer base to draw from, because rivals are looking more capable. They are going to have to be careful with how they choose to price it.

Its an accomplishment but an accomplishment that's slowly losing traction. At least Chevrolet launched another model to further build a customer base.

Chevy has already announced that they are canning the Volt, so I guess this proves that the days of range extenders are probably numbered. With the average range we are seeing with newer EV's, its not necessary to rely on a backup engine.

Sedans as a whole are losing interest anyways, won't be surprised that when GM launches more than 20 EV's that the Bolt will suffer the same faith.
