Unhappy Flat tire sealant

I just had a flat tire on my 2018 Leaf. I used the sealant and inflator provided with the car. It worked fine and I was able to get to the tire store to repair the tire. I called Nissan parts to get a new bottle of sealant and was infomed it would cost me $220! Anyone find a less expensiv alternative?

Probably not the same grade product, but you can buy Fix A Flat sealant at any parts store.

Yeah sound like the traditional markup for OEM branded parts. I'd look into some third party options such as Slime or Penray, which I believe sell for around $10 a can.

First, find out all you can about that sealant, what its rated for and so on. Then try to find a similar grade for cheaper.
Deviating from that could have consequences.

Unfortunately you might not have a choice in the end.

Any shortcuts that you take on cost, could end up leaving you stranded in the long run. Obviously the OEM sealant is high grade, if it allowed you to make it to the shop with no issues. Perhaps you could look into a spare/donut instead?
