E-Pedal

Is it as good as I've heard?

Its a godsend once you learn the intricacies of it, especially when it comes to freeway driving. As Nissan continues to update their Pro Pilot system it will also become more useful for inner cities.

after reading reviews and hearing from owners at my local dealers I was only then really impressed, some use it nearly 80-90% of the time

I switch mine on at the start of every trip no matter how short. Got the the point that after 7K miles, I’m so used to it that driving something else gets a bit hairy when it doesn’t slowdown when I take my foot of the gas.

The "luxury" that one pedal driving brings to our driving experience is one of many reasons why I can see most ditching ICE cars for EV's. Sadly for those that like driving, unless you buy an EV sports car, as the years go on there will be a gradual reduction of driver input

I heard that the retaining system helps the systems learn your habits so regardless of what happens, it will always be on.

I am always in E-Pedal mode and love it.

I understand the benefits of regenerative braking and less wear on the brakes, besides the fact that it is great to drive with (after you get used to it).

Is anyone aware of any downsides or tradeoffs regarding long-term wear on the car/motor/etc. Is the constant regenerative braking a load on the battery in any way?
