New Leaf soon - 1st EV

Hi All,

New Leaf N-Connecta being delivered next week for my wife. Test drove Mini Cooper & Fiesta ST and preferred Leaf! She will mainly use for 30 mile commute to work and a good benefit is they have charging points.

Can anyone confirm if wheels are diamond-cut? Her current DS3 has and they look a bit of a mess as seemingly impossible to look decent again once kerbed (I know best solution is to be more careful!)

Spent some time on BMW forums where members vowed to never get diamond cut wheels ever again which is a strong statement. I suggest you start looking other wheel options!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on sourcing your next car. Glad that you decided against the Mini, because even the newer models are seeing their fair share of issues and the Countryman PHEV is vastly overpriced. Haven't heard any mention of these wheels being diamond cut, as I think Nissan restricts that to Nismo variants.

I was hoping the current BMW and Toyota partnership would lead to something in the EV segments eventually but that's not the case yet, if so Lexus might be on my list.
They will get into EV's, just at the right time and BMW has many more models left to release.

Congrats on the new Leaf and welcome to the forum. With such a short commute you've picked the perfect EV. Are those charging points at her work free to use?

Its best to check with building management because the last thing to do is get on bad terms. Someone is paying for it at the end of the day.
Only exceptions i've seen is at say a WholeFoods parkade or somewhere using it as an incentive so you can spend elsewhere
