Blurtooth 5.0

Guys,

I just wanted to ask, is anybody using a Bluetooth 5.0 phone in their 2018 LEAF and are you having any connectivity issues? I ask because I have read that 5.0 is not backwardly compatible 4.x devices?

Hope you al have a good Christmas.

Niall

Hey Niall. If you head over to Nissans device compatibility page you can confirm whether or not your phone should work with the Leaf. Seems to be influenced both by the nav package and your given carrier. https://www.nissanusa.com/bluetooth/...-compatibility

Bluetooth 5 devices should be backwards compatible, at least until you use any of the new Bluetooth 5 features. The main change in the newer software is faster speed and better range.

The Bluetooth 5 is backwards compatible with previous bluetooth versions such as v1.2, v2, v2.1, v3, v4, v4.1 and v4.2.
