Accident prevention problem

Swear I saw post on here about other having the collision avoidance system disable on its own. Has happened to mine with 2400 miles on it. In a Sentra while they look at it. Has anyone else had issues with that or emergency braking when no cars in front of you?

Thanks
Greg

Odds are that its just a software fault related to the sensors. I'm of the opinion that all these new driving aids are a bit overbearing.

from my experience its more about knowing how the systems you have to work with function and testing them before real world encounters is the way to go
ultimately you have to know what to expect, without, you're just in for unpleasant surprises.

You may want to adjust whatever follow distance that you have currently set, because sometimes it can be a bit pre-emptive. Better to have it kicking on for no reason then not working when needed. Keep us posted on what the fix is/was.

@Gchamber , have you been able to get your collision avoidance system issue resolved as yet?
I can't imagine the issue going on for this long without a resolution, if not, hopefully they moved you into a better loaner.
