Yeah I agree that its to our benefit that the new generation launches elsewhere first. This gives Nissan the opportunity to iron out any early quality of life issues new buyers may find. As its electric I don't foresee any serious mechanical issues, but you never know what bugs may be lurking in its infotainment/drive assist features.
Its also to their benefit as well because there's a lot of backlash to a poor product in its first year of production in the US. It could mean the product is a write off till a successor comes out.
