Front Wheel Hub Lubrication
I've had an unusual noise that was occurring when I pressed the accelerator pedal to start moving or when I let up on the pedal to coast or begin braking. It sounded like a thud, not too sharp at all. When I took it to the dealer to investigate, they found that the front wheel bearings were in need of lubrication. They performed the service, buttoned it up, and tested it. No more thuds.
i asked the rep if he had seen this problem before now, and he replied that this was the first time for their shop. They hadn't done a bearing lube service prior to this occurrence. The mileage is at 16700. I live in a fairly dry climate and don't see too much water on the road. I've not been able to find any other references to this situation elsewhere. Keep your ears open for that thud sound.
